Here’s the cheat: die on purpose early in a level. Why? Because the game’s pity system secretly boosts rare gem drops from enemies if you start a run with under 100 gems. Burn your cash at the Hub’s “Miser’s Hole” (talk to the rat behind the tavern three times), then dive back in. Suddenly, chumps are dropping emeralds like candy.

On the title screen, press: Up, Down, Left, Right, Shovel Drop, Shovel Drop . You won’t unlock god mode, but you will trigger a secret chiptune remix of the original Shovel Knight title theme. It doesn’t help you win, but it’s the closest thing to a classic cheat code vibe in the game.

Shovel Knight Dig is a test of reflexes, patience, and your ability to laugh after losing 5,000 gems to a single spike pit. But even the most stubborn spade-wielder can use a little help.
