The A-plot follows the budding war between Sheldon and his new nemesis, fellow child prodigy Dr. John Sturgis (the brilliant Wallace Shawn). While last season established Sturgis as a mentor, this episode cleverly shifts him into a rival when Sheldon discovers the elderly physicist is dating his Meemaw.
