Facebook has a built-in cooldown period to prevent harassment. If you block and unblock someone rapidly to spam them, the algorithm stops you. You usually need to wait 48 hours after unblocking before you can send a new friend request. Rule #3: Content Does Not Return Any comments, likes, or posts that the blocked person left on your timeline before the block will not reappear. When you block someone, you basically delete their historical interaction with your profile from your view. Unblocking does not restore the history. Rule #4: You Can’t Block and Unblock Repeatedly If you are the type of person who blocks someone every Tuesday and unblocks them every Friday, Facebook will eventually prevent you from unblocking them for a period of time (sometimes 30+ days).
