Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Woodstock May 2026

For the first time in six months, Nora cried. Not the polite, single-tear kind of cry, but the ugly, heaving, can’t-breathe kind. Dr. Ramesh didn't hand her a tissue immediately. He let her have the moment.

But as she walked out, Chloe handed her a small card with the date of her next appointment already printed. On the back, someone had handwritten: "The bravest thing you did today was open this door." thriveworks counseling & psychiatry woodstock

Her counselor, Dr. Ramesh, was already there. He wasn't scribbling on a notepad or staring at a clock. He was just sitting, calmly, as if he had all the time in the world. For the first time in six months, Nora cried

Dr. Ramesh pointed out the window, toward the actual Woodstock. "There's a trail behind the Outlet Shoppes. When you feel adrift this week, I want you to walk it. Don't solve anything. Just count the number of different leaves you see. That’s your homework." Ramesh didn't hand her a tissue immediately

He leaned forward. "You're not broken, Nora. You're just bent. And we can straighten things out here. But it takes showing up."
