In the chaos, Teresa stays behind to upload the cure data to a hidden server, sacrificing herself. Thomas and the others escape into a lush valley—a safe zone for Immunes, untouched by the Flare. As the sun rises over green hills, Thomas looks back at the ruins of the city. He holds a locket Chuck gave him. Inside is a photo of the Glade. Thomas is different

Thomas, shattered, confronts Dr. Paige. She reveals the ultimate truth: the Immunes’ blood doesn’t just cure the Flare—it contains a memory map of how to rebuild humanity’s immune system. But to extract it fully, they need Thomas’s brain. Teresa, having switched sides again, helps Thomas trigger an explosion that destroys WCKD’s main lab. Dr. Paige dies. The facility collapses.
