The screen is a small blue LCD (like a Game Boy). You navigate by clicking left/right through chassis codes. If you don't know your chassis code (E90 vs F30), you will be guessing.

While not a full diagnostic tool, it reads Battery Voltage and Brake Pad Wear sensor status (Open/Closed). This saves you from pulling wheels just to check if a sensor is broken. The Bad (The Caveats) 1. It will not diagnose If you have an "Engine Misfire" or "Transmission Fault," this tool is useless. It has no code reading function for ECU/PCM/TCM.
