The main conflict of the episode revolves around a small, seemingly trivial issue: a wall clock. During the move, Tadek wants to hang his beloved, large, somewhat kitschy clock in the living room. However, due to the thin walls and the specific layout of the neighboring apartments, the nail he hammers in damages a painting on the Krawczyks' side of the wall. This sparks a series of petty disputes: who owns which part of the wall? Who is entitled to make noise? Who is the better neighbor?
The episode begins with Tadeusz Norkowski, a proud but irritable Warsaw bus driver, and his wife Alina moving into a new apartment in an old tenement house. Their excitement quickly turns to frustration when they discover that their new neighbors are none other than Karol and Danuta Krawczyk.
As the episode progresses, the two couples try to resolve their differences, but Tadek's short fuse and Karol's patronizing attitude constantly escalate the situation. Alina and Danuta, however, are the voices of reason. By the end of the episode, the women engineer a compromise: the men must cooperate to repair the damage and agree on basic neighborly rules.
