He zipped through the Obsidian Sanctuary, his movements no longer sluggish. He could see the fireball hitboxes on the Blazes as perfect orange spheres. He could time his jumps over the pit of void because the edge was outlined in a glaring, warning red. His DPS on the Obsidian Defender jumped by twenty percent, not because his stats changed, but because he could see the swing cooldown as a shrinking arc on his sword's hilt.
He thought it was a glitch. But then he saw his hotbar slot for the Runaan’s Bow. The glowing magenta arrows were now pointing slightly to the left of his crosshair. He aimed at a villager. The arrows pointed at his own feet.
Then he looked at his hotbar.
He opened his inventory. The Pig’s Foot talisman was gone. In its place was a black icon, the size of a single pixel. He hovered over it.
