1. What Does "NSP" Mean? In the context of the Nintendo Switch, NSP stands for Nintendo Submission Package . It is the digital file format used by Nintendo for games and applications downloaded directly from the Nintendo eShop. NSP files are essentially encrypted containers that hold the game’s executable code, assets, and metadata. They are distinct from XCI files, which are cartridge dumps.
