The cleaver passed through Kaelen’s shoulder with zero force. The skeleton froze, confused, because the damage had been auto-looted into the bag. Kaelen felt a gentle ding and a notification.
“This bag has ruined me,” Kaelen whispered.
Kaelen checked the bag’s inventory. The monologue was in there, compressed into a little gray orb. The staff point was a weirdly shaped polygon. And the ambient spookiness had been converted into 34 units of raw mana.
A single bony finger erupted from the grime-caked floor, gave him a thumbs-down, and retreated.
“Oh, that’s just cruel,” Kaelen muttered. But he took the tears anyway. They might be worth something to an alchemist.
