No one ever followed where they led. But everyone who saw it understood: some times don't belong to any day. They belong only to the places that remember them. Would you like it adapted into a poem, a micro-story, or something else?

Visitors would pause beneath it, squinting. Some said it looked like a broken compass. Others saw a pair of landing birds. A child once whispered that it was the time the stars went to sleep. No one ever followed where they led

Decades later, after the library burned and was rebuilt, after the old clock was replaced with a digital screen, a janitor found the original hands in a box of ash-stained debris. He hung them on his workshop wall. At 24:42—or whatever moment the silence felt heaviest—he swore the shadows of the hands would move on their own, pointing not to numbers, but to the door.
