Day 2 was all vegetables—steamed broccoli, cucumber slices, a mountain of spinach. Her stomach growled like an angry dog. At 3 PM, she almost ate a donut from the office breakroom. Instead, she chewed a raw bell pepper and cried in the bathroom.
